Halo Top Ice Cream

A friend of mine liked a link on Facebook for “Halo Top Ice Cream“.

Ice cream that is high in protein, low calories and low sugar. Most people would think “low sugar”, it must taste awful.

I’ve tried the “Peanut Butter Cup” and “Salted Caramel” flavors and it didn’t taste bad at all. It’s less calories and if you are counting the calories or even carbs, then this will satisfy your craving. Just don’t go overboard and eat an entire pint in one sitting. LOL

Key word “moderation” and “per serving” when it comes to desserts.

Lake Oswego Farmer’s Market

Today was the first day! The skies were overcast with clouds but there was a nice crowd of people supporting local vendors.

Hubby and I had breakfast burritos. I had bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese (pictured). I forgot what hubby had in his..😊

They also give out free bags.

Made In Portland

Ever since I moved from California to Oregon. I like to buy products locally made.

Whenever I order a burger and it has Tillamook cheese, I’ll order that burger. In California, it wasn’t specified if the cheese was Tillamook.

I found these Chocolate Chunk Sea Salt cookies made in Portland. They were soft and delicious!

Powell’s City Of Books

We went to the Portland location on Burnside Street.

This place was HUGE and you can get lost here. Each section is categorized by color i.e. purple room, orange room and etc.

Before we browsed around, we visited their coffee shop and I got a latte.

Hubby ended up buying some books. I was prepared on which author or book I wanted.

Next time, we are going to visit the Beaverton location.

Tony’s Chocolonely

We went shopping at Palisades Market to pick up a few things and something sweet. Hubby saw this candy bar (milk caramel sea salt) and we gave it a try.

It’s not your normal candy, it is designed uniquely and you can’t share it evenly. We split it in half as evenly as possible. It was yummy!

Tony’s Chocolonely is a confectionery company focused on producing and selling chocolate closely following fair trade practices, strongly opposing slavery and child labour by partnering with trading companies in Ghana and Ivory Coast to buy cocoa beans directly from farmers providing them with a fair price for their product and combating exploitation.
